Bears Christchurch are proud to present Big Bears Weekend 2021!
Bears Christchurch Big Bear Weekend is always the highlight of the bears social calendar, and we invite all bears far and wide, and bears supporters and members of our wider community to join us in a weekend of fun activities and opportunities to mingle, make new friends, and celebrate what it is to be part of our diverse and inclusive community!
Due to covid we are running a slightly smaller program of events, but still plenty of fun things on the calendar this year! There are still a number of fun things for bears and bear followers to take part in (feel free to bring a friend or more with you!). It promises to be a great time for all involved!

BBW2021 Opening Drinks – Thursday 11th Nov 7:30pm – FREE event – at Pomeroys
Come along to our opening night at Pomeroys for a casual Thursday night of drinks, mingling, and meeting old and new friends!
BBW2021 Bears Car Rally – Friday 12th Nov 10:00am till 2:00pm – FREE
Bears Christchurch are proud to present another fun car rally!
If you are looking for a fun day out with a group of friends, be sure to register your interest!
Groups will set off from Latimer Square at 10am and will have to fill out a task list that will require solving clues, taking photos, and more, as you travel a secret path across Christchurch!
The conclusion of the rally will be a BYO picnic lunch at a secret location. Bears will provide sausages and bread for a sausage sizzle, but please bring other food and drink.
This will be LOTS of fun with prizes for best dressed, first car/group to complete the course correctly, and more!
BBW2021 Bears Dinner – Great fun night out! – Friday 12 Nov 7:00pm – at BYO Restaurant – Thai Chef, 1 Riccarton Road
Bears Christchurch are proud to host the BBW2021 Bears Dinner, where you and friends can bring a bottle to a cheap and cheerful restaurant (Thai Chef, at Nancys Corner).
A great night out and a cheap and fun way to enjoy a night out with our Bears community.
BBW2021 Bears Wine Tour (Limited seats) – Saturday 13th Nov – $80
This is one of our most popular events so make sure you book your tickets before it sells out!
Bears will be hiring a bus to take a group out to some great wineries in North Canterbury, and will include lunch. Wine tours have been very popular in past years and an unmissable event for those looking to have fun and make good friends!
Tickets are online and cover wine tastings, lunch, and the bus 🙂
